A man arrested on drug charges in Graves County three years ago has pleaded guilty and is facing 10 years behind bars.

Roger S. Papierski entered a guilty plea in Graves Circuit Court on Monday and was sentenced to 10 years in jail. Papierski pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, trafficking meth, trafficking in marijuana, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a home in the 2000 block of State Route 129 in August 2016 after receiving information of illegal drug activity at the home. Papierski was found inside the home.

Deputies said Papierski tried to leave the home in a vehicle, but during questioning the department's K-9 was used and it indicated illegal narcotics inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, deputies found a stolen handgun, methamphetamine and marijuana.

A search warrant was obtained for the property and more methamphetamine and marijuana were reportedly found, along with another stolen handgun, several sets of digital scales, baggies and numerous other items that are believed to be stolen.
