According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, a deputy noticed a vehicle swerving and crossing the center line on State Route 45, just south of the McCracken County line. The deputy stopped the vehicle and found several open alcohol beverage containers inside the vehicle.
After several field sobriety tests, the driver, 52-year-old Barbara Maricle, was placed under arrest and transported to the Graves County Jail. At the jail, deputy jailers reportedly found a knife concealed in Maricle's purse.
Maricle is charged with reckless driving, DUI, three counts of possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and promoting contraband.
