Deputies said 34-year-old Barbra Arndell of Mayfield was walking with a friend on the white line of KY 97. According to police, they were walking with traffic instead of against traffic.
Arndell was struck by the side mirror of a car driven by Brittany Billick, who told police she did not see the two women walking. Billick stopped and rendered assistance.
Arndell was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. The other woman was not struck or injured.
