Hayden: Deputies to Patrol at Graves Schools
By West Kentucky Star Staff
GRAVES COUNTY - If you're a parent of a Graves County student, don’t be alarmed if you see an increased police presence at your child’s school.

Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden says effective last week, all deputy sheriffs have been asked (if not on a call) to be present at all of the county schools, especially during arrival and dismissal times. Deputies have been asked to rotate schools so that they all receive some extra patrols during these times.

Hayden says there have been no threats or information of any kind received that has contributed to the policy change. He says it's simply an initiative to help keep children safe.
