Health Departments Friday COVID Update

WESTERN KENTUCKY, SOUTHERN ILLINOIS - Area health departments announced more cases of COVID-19 on Friday.

The Pennyrile District Health Department noted 60 new cases, including 8 in Lyon County, 7 in Livingston County, and 15 each in Caldwell, Crittenden, and Trigg Counties.

The Calloway County Health Department confirmed 42 new cases on Friday, raising the county's total to 2,641.

The Graves County Health Department reported 38 new cases and 1 new death. The new cases raise the county's total to 2,816.

On Thursday, The Purchase District Health Department confirmed 121 new cases in its district. The new cases include 88 in McCracken County, 11 in Carlisle County, 12 in Ballard County, 6 in Fulton County, and 4 in Hickman County. For Friday, the health department announced 96 new cases of the virus, including 68 in McCracken County, 11 in Ballard County, 5 in Carlisle County, and 9 in Fulton County.

The Southern Seven Health Department said they were aware of 92 new cases in its district. The new cases include 23 in Union County, 51 in Johnson County, 2 in Pope County, 6 in Hardin County, 3 in Pulaski County, and 17 in Massac County.

The Marshall County Health Department reports 12 new cases, raising the county's total to 1,877.

The Calloway County Health Department announced 66 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. The new cases raise the county's total to 2,599.
