Health Departments Provide COVID Updates

WESTERN KENTUCKY, SOUTHERN ILLINOIS - More cases of the novel coronavirus have been reported on Friday.

The Purchase District Health Department released information on 24 people, with three people diagnosed in Ballard County, four in Carlisle County, two in Fulton County and fifteen in McCracken County. There have been 1,352 confirmed cases in the Purchase District, with 869 in McCracken, 201 in Fulton, 99 in Hickman, 92 in Carlisle, and 91 in Ballard County. 

The Southern Seven Health Department says they have been notified of 29 new cases, with one in Hardin County, ten in Johnson County, one in Massac County, and seventeen in Union County. The total for this region is 1,551 people, with 698 cases in Union County, 327 in Johnson County, 213 in Pulaski County, 134 in Massac County, 100 in Alexander County, 47 in Hardin County, and 32 in Pope County. 

The Pennyrile District Health Department announced 19 new cases in their district, including five in Caldwell County, two in Crittenden County, eight in Livingston County, one in Lyon County, and three in Trigg County. This brings their total to 800 people, with 223 cases in Caldwell County, 152 in Crittenden County, 113 in Livingston County, 91 in Lyon County, and 221 in Trigg County.

The Calloway County Health Department reported 14 new cases Friday, bringing their total to 827.

The Marshall County Health Department says four more people have the virus, for a total of 403 cases. 

The Graves County Health Department confirmed one case on Friday, and that person is isolating at home. The county's total number of cases since March is 823.
