Health Departments Update COVID Numbers

WESTERN KENTUCKY - More cases of the novel coronavirus were confirmed in our area on Sunday and Monday.

The Purchase District Health Department says they were notified of 23 cases over the weekend, and 24 on Monday. Twenty-nine of them are in McCracken County, eleven are in Fulton County, three are in Ballard County, three are in Carlisle County and one is in Hickman County. They report a total of 1,282 cases, and eighteen people in the Purchase District have died of the virus. 

The Graves County Health Department reported Monday they have learned of five new cases since Friday, with one of them hospitalized. Graves County's total is 805 cases since March, with 29 deaths. 

The Calloway County Health Department confirmed 20 new cases on Sunday. The county has had 773 cases, with 128 active cases and 10 deaths. 

The Marshall County Health Department reported four new cases of the virus on Sunday. Their total is 372 cases, with 60 active cases and four deaths. 

The Pennyrile District Health Department, and Southern Seven Health Department have not reported since Friday. Southern Seven was closed Monday for Columbus Day.
