The advisory includes parts of southeast Missouri, southern Illinois and extreme western Kentucky to the southwest of a Marble Hill Missouri to Benton Kentucky line.
High temperatures will be in the middle 90s. The heat index will peak between 104 and 108 degrees in the afternoon.
Persons working outdoors or engaging in recreational activities will encounter hazardous levels of heat and humidity.
