A second man is facing charges from a November 19 home invasion in Graves County.

According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Department, 22-year-old Valdarius Starks was arrested Wednesday evening, after he was released from a local hospital.

Starks is one of two suspects who allegedly forced their way into a home on Tom Drive wearing masks and carrying rifles. Police said that the men intended to take drugs and money from the resident, Dominique Crittendon.

While he was being assaulted, detectives say Crittendon was able to grab a gun and shoot Starks and the other man. The identity of that man, who also needed treatment for gunshot wounds, has not yet been released.

Starks was charged with 1st degree burglary, kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, assault 2nd degree, and robbery 1st degree. He was taken to Graves County Jail.

Crittendon, who was also shot, was later arrested because the investigation in the home revealed cash, marijuana, and items typically used in drug trafficking.
