A Hopkinsville man was arrested and charged with attempted assault after he allegedly swung machetes at two people Thursday night.

WKDZ reports that Hopkinsville Police say 52-year-old Carloss Potter claimed everyone had wiring all over them and grabbed two machetes from his room. He then reportedly started swinging them at two people in the house threatening to cut them.

Potter was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree assault.
