Two juveniles have been arrested after incidents of bullying at Hopkinsville High School.
According to the Christian County Sheriff's Department, one incident last Wednesday, May 9 led to the arrest of a 17-year-old on charges of assault 4th degree, disorderly conduct 2nd degree, resisting arrest and terroristic threatening 3rd degree.
The second incident happened Monday morning, and led to a charge of assault 4th degree against a 16-year-old student.
The Sheriff's Department says officers began investigations into the incidents on the day that each occurred, and the suspects were removed from the school before any videos were posted on social media.
In the Sheriff's Department Facebook post on Wednesday, the agency requested that citizens not share the videos on social media out of respect for the victim and the victim's family.
The post says, "The video depicts some disturbing footage, and we only ask you to imagine if it were your child. We can't make you stop, but I'm sure the family would appreciate it."
