A one vehicle wreck on I-69 in Caldwell County Thursday left two people injured.

According to Kentucky State Police, the crash happened at the 76 mile marker, approximately three miles south of Princeton. Troopers said Gerald C. Williams, of Paducah, was northbound on I-69 when he fell asleep, causing him to lose control of his pickup truck.

Williams' truck left the northbound lane and traveled into the median. Williams then overcorrected and the pickup swerved back onto the roadway and crossed both northbound lanes of travel before leaving the right side of the roadway and colliding with a guardrail.

Williams and his passenger, Michael Turner of Kevil, were both treated at the scene by Caldwell County EMS and then transported by ambulance to the Caldwell County Medical Center.
