A LARGE AND SLOW MOVING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL BRING HEAVY RAINFALL TO SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND ADJACENT AREAS OF SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS AND WESTERN KENTUCKY THROUGH THIS EVENING.

KENTUCKY COUNTIES INCLUDE -FULTON-HICKMAN-CARLISLE-BALLARD

ILLINOIS COUNTIES INCLUDE PERRY-JACKSON-UNION -ALEXANDER-PULASKI

MISSOURI COUNTIES INCLUDE -BOLLINGER-CAPE GIRARDEAU-WAYNE MO-CARTER-RIPLEY-BUTLER-STODDARD-SCOTT-MISSISSIPPI-NEW MADRID-


WIDESPREAD HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INTO THIS EVENING IN AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.  ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN THE 2 TO 3 INCH RANGE ARE LIKELY... WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 3 INCHES FOR   THOSE LOCATIONS THAT MAY EXPERIENCE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY.  RIGHT
NOW... IT APPEARS THE HIGHEST RAIN TOTALS WILL STILL OCCUR ALONG AND WEST OF A PERRYVILLE TO DEXTER MISSOURI LINE.

GIVEN THE RIVER FLOODING OF THE PAST FEW WEEKS AND THE HIGH SOIL MOISTURE CONTENT... ADDITIONAL FLOODING APPEARS LIKELY ALONG AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS IN THE VICINITY OF THE SWOLLEN WATERWAYS.
