Indoor Dining to Continue at Fristoe's Restaurant

GRAVES COUNTY - Another local restaurant will continue to offer indoor dining despite Gov. Andy Beshear's latest restrictions.

Chris Fristoe, owner of Fristoe's Grocery & Restaurant in Hickory, announced on Facebook Friday that he's staying open for "the customers and people that choose to come." Fristoe said he's willing "to take the backlash and jail time" for his decision.

In his post, Fristoe said his employees need money, especially during the holidays. He said he gave his employees the option of not working, but everyone wanted to continue working.

On Wednesday, Governor Beshear announced several new restrictions on businesses in his effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. One of those restrictions closes restaurants and bars to indoor service.

Popi's Restaurant in Draffenville announced on Thursday they too would continue to offer indoor dining.
