Jackson Purchase Energy Corporation's headquarters office in Paducah will close at noon today.

"Our employees are a family," said Dennis Cannon, JPEC's president and CEO.  "We're closing the office early so that our family may honor Josh Franklin's memory and grieve with his family."

Cannon notes that, while the office will be closed, member calls will be handled in a timely manner and that any electric service outages will be addressed promptly.

Franklin passed away on January 16 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after suffering injuries from contact with a live electric wire while performing regular maintenance on the cooperative's system on January 6.

The Franklin Family will hold visitation at Heartland Worship Center in Paducah from 4-8 pm today and a memorial service on Saturday at 11 am.
