Jury Being Picked for Cadiz Murder Trial

CADIZ, KY - Lawyers are picking a jury in Cadiz for the trial of a man charged in a decade-old death.
Jury selection began Monday in Trigg Circuit Court for the murder trial of Claude Russell, charged with killing Chantell Humphries in 2002.
A farmer found Humphries' body in a field in June 2002. Russell was charged a short time after the body was discovered, but the case was dismissed by prosecutors who said they had insufficient evidence to try him.
New evidence found last year resulted in the current murder charge against Russell.
