By West Kentucky Star Staff
MURRAY - A juvenile has been charged following an investigation into a reported threat at Murray Middle School on Thursday.

The Murray Police Department said multiple officers responded to the school at around 3:15 p.m. and determined there was no threat and the school was safe.

On Friday, authorities charged a juvenile with third-degree terroristic threatening. The Murray Police Department reminds the public that threatening statements should never be made, even if they are made as a joke.

In a Facebook post, Murray Independent School District Superintendent Coy D. Samons said the incident took place after regular afternoon dismissal. Any remaining students and staff were evacuated.
