The Kentucky Supreme Court has upheld the murder conviction of a Trigg County man sentenced to 25 years in prison for a shooting at a party to promote a rapper's music.

In an unsigned opinion issued Thursday, the justices concluded that allowing evidence of 22-year-old Dwight Wisdom Jr.'s decision to flee the party after the December 2011 shooting wasn't an error that harmed him at trial.

A jury convicted Wisdom of killing Erick Jones, who was involved in a fight outside the festivities on Dec. 3, 2011. Wisdom turned himself in to police two days after the shooting.

Multiple witnesses testified to hearing the gunshots, but some told jurors they didn't see Wisdom pull the trigger while others identified him as the shooter.
