A well-known member of the law enforcement community died Tuesday in Graves County.

36-year-old Tye Jackson worked as the director of campus security for Mid-Continent University in Mayfield. He was also a part-time Livingston County sheriff’s deputy, and served previously as a Mayfield Police Department K-9 officer.
 
According to Graves County Coroner Phillip McClain, Jackson died at 5 a.m. Tuesday. He was found in his apartment on the Mid-Continent campus on Wednesday, McClain said.
 
Foul play is not suspected.
