Traffic on the Tennessee River bridge at Ledbetter will be restricted to one lane starting Monday for inspection of the bridge structure.
Equipment and personnel will be on the bridge between 8am and 4pm for about a week.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reminds drivers that the posted speed limit on the bridge is 45 miles per hour. Due to continued reports of speeding on the bridge, an enhanced law enforcement presence will be in effect during the inspection.
Kentucky bridges get a detailed inspection every two years with long-span bridges over lakes and rivers getting an extra walk-through inspection annually.
