Further investigation led to discovery of similar medication on her, and that she was wanted on an arrest warrant from Metropolis.

Champion was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, having a prescription not in the proper container, possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also served with the warrant from Metropolis.

The Livingston County Department of Social Services came to the house to care for the children until they could be turned over to a family member.
