Livingston Storm Relief Underway This Morning
By WestKyStar Staff
SMITHLAND, KY - Potter's House Baptist Worship Center in Smithland is hosting a meeting at 8:30 this morning to organize storm relief efforts going on today in Livingston County.

Sunday's EF2 tornado destroyed several homes and caused a large amount of tree damage in Livingston County.

According to Rodney Cude, Director of Mission for the Ohio River Baptist Association, they have been asked by the Livingston County Judge Executive to help with tree and debris removal in Livingston County.

Since Cude said they are providing assistance as a local event, volunteers are welcome even if they are not Disaster Relief certified. He said, "We will make sure volunteers are on teams with DR trained volunteers."

Lunch will be provided for the volunteers. Those interested in volunteering are invited to come to the meeting at 8:30 am to sign up and be assigned to a team.

It is anticipated tree and debris removal should take at least 2-3 days.
