Livingston Teen Among Those Auditioning for Idol
By Candice Freeland
BOWLING GREEN, KY - Hunter Wright is aware that school is in session today at Livingston Central High School, where she is a senior. She's not there today, but school officials know that Hunter is not pretending to be sick. She's in Bowling Green auditioning for American Idol.
Hunter and her Mom Belinda arrived in Bowling Green shortly before 8 am, and the line already covered two city blocks.
Auditions are taking place in the Fountain Square portion of the city.
This will be the 12th season for American Idol, which has produced some highly successful performers, such as multi-platinum, grammy-winning singer, Kelly Clarkson. This season will begin airing in January.
Hunter says she plans to sing "Never Alone" by Lady Antebellum. She's chosen "You" by Chris Young as a backup, in case she's asked to sing more than one song.
