The Mayfield-Graves County Needline and Food Pantry received a pleasant visit this week from a very young donor.

Nine-year-old Natalie Stimson shared with her church, Burnett’s Chapel Methodist Church that she wanted to do something for the Needline and Food Pantry. She decorated a shoe box and put it out at two church activities.

Natalie was able to collect $ 152 that she presented to the Needline and Food Pantry. When asked what caused her to collect the money, she said, seeing a picture of a hungry child made her sad and that she just wanted to help. Natalie is a fourth grade student at Sedalia Elementary and the daughter of Joel Stimson.

If you want information on ways you can assist the Needline and Food Pantry contact Jackie Herndon, at 270-247-6333 from 9a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday.

Donations are tax deductible.
