In the aftermath of Tuesday night's announcement at Mid-Continent University, staff and students are feeling a myriad of emotions.

Several staff members have posted comments on Facebook, expressing their sadness over this week's events, and saying that they are drained after the emotional roller coaster of the last couple of months.

One employee at the school Tuesday night revealed that his wife had already been laid off from Mid-Continent, and now he was unemployed, too. While they weren't sure about their future, he said God will take care of them.

Students Jeremy and Makayla Larkins of Cunningham came to the campus to retrieve an item that he donated to the school several years ago. He said he met his wife through a mutual friend while attending classes, so he has a soft spot in his heart for the school.

Jeremy was set to graduate in May with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and Makayla was working on her associate's degree.

As two board members helped his reclaim his donated item, Jeremy said he doesn't hold them accountable for the financial struggles that may keep him and many others from graduating, but he is angry.

He would like to sit down with the Imhoffs, look them in the eye, and remind them of their promises when he made the donation, and when he began working on his degree. Larkins said he wants them to know how it has personally affected him and many other students.
