MSU Picks Sodexo For Campus Dining Services

MURRAY - After a review of vendor
proposals, the food services management company Sodexo has been selected to provide dining
services to the Murray State University campus.
A Board of Regents subcommittee approved the contract on Monday, to take effect on December 15.
Sodexo said it will work closely with university to expand the variety of fare, and offer safe options that are free from common allergens including peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, wheat, soy, milk products and eggs. All options are also to be free from gluten-containing ingredients.
Sodexo plans to work with the university's farm and local business community to purchase local, seasonal, sustainably grown and raised products. They also promise to establish a student-led dining advisory
board, and explore ways to transform unused food from dining halls, grocery stores, restaurants and farmers markets into meals for people experiencing hunger.
