Kentucky State Police arrested 39-year-old Mark A. Johnson on Thursday and charged him with 1st degree sexual abuse. According to State Police, Troopers received a complaint on Wednesday of an incident involving a 24-year-old woman and began their investigation.
The investigation resulted in Troopers obtaining an arrest warrant for Johnson. Johnson, of Murray, was arrested without incident and lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
According to State Police, Johnson is a police officer with the Murray State University Public Safety Department and has been placed on administrative leave.
