By West Kentucky Star Staff
MURRAY - The Murray State Police Department has concluded its investigation of the robbery reported Sunday night outside of MSU's Roy Stewart Stadium, and they now say the incident did not happen as originally reported.

According to MSU Police, the student who reported the incident, Charles Patrick Vaught of Madisonville, has been charged with falsely reporting an incident.

Police said Vaught sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene Sunday night. According to police, the injuries were sustained off-campus while Vaught was in the process of falsely committing and reporting the incident.

Vaught originally told police he was robbed by another male, who was wearing dark clothing and armed with a pocket knife.
