Magnitude 3.5 Quake Hits Area

A preliminary magnitude 3.5 earthquake, epicentered almost directly underneath the Mississippi River where Fulton County, Kentucky, Lake County, Tennessee, and New Madrid County, Missouri meet.

According to the USGS, the quake happened at 8:45 am, Friday, and reports came in that it was felt across portions of western Kentucky, western Tennessee, southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, and northeastern Arkansas.
