Man Arrested After Multiple Vehicle Break-ins
By West Kentucky Star Staff
SYMSONIA - A Marshall County man has been arrested after an investigation into thefts from several vehicles.

Victims contacted the Graves County Sheriff's Department, saying someone had rummaged through their vehicles during the overnight hours of September 6. The crimes reportedly took place in the area of Kentucky Highway 1959 between Symsonia and the Marshall County line.

Vehicle owners say a variety of items were taken, including firearms, tools, keys, change, purses and other items. As deputies canvassed the area they say they found some of the victims' items that had been discarded into ditches along the road.

Deputies were able to identify a possible suspect, and a subsequent investigation led to discovery of a shotgun that had been reported stolen from one of the vehicles. This led to the Thursday arrest of 21-year-old Tyler Z. Blasdel at a home in the Wadesboro Road area of Marshall County.

Blasdel was charged with theft of a firearm and theft of property valued under $500. He was taken to Graves County Jail.

The sheriff's department says several sets of keys have been recovered, and anyone who is missing keys should contact them at 270-247-4501.
