A Muhlenberg County man was arrested Saturday after a shooting incident was reported.

According to Kentucky State Police Post 2, Troopers were called about 6:30 pm to assist in the investigation in Drakesboro. Detectives say 46-year-old William C. Dortch of Drakesboro was involved in an altercation with his wife. As she was leaving the home with her two teenage daughters, Dortch came out of the home and allegedly fired several shots, hitting his wife's vehicle as it drove away. 

Mrs. Dortch and her daughters were taken to Owensboro Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment of injuries, which were described as non-life-threatening. 

William Dortch was arrested and taken to Muhlenberg County Detention Center. He is charged with assault 1st degree (domestic violence), two counts of attempted murder (domestic violence), and assault 4th degree with no visible injury.
