Man Arrested for Stabbing Roommate in Hardin

HARDIN, KY - A Marshall County man was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly stabbing his roommate.
Marshall County Sheriff's Deputies went to College Street in Hardin to investigate, and found the female victim lying on the couch with a stab wound, and the knife on the floor. Deputies learned that the two had been arguing and fighting all night, and the man got a knife from the kitchen and stabbed the victim. Both were heavily under the influence.
Deputies arrested 58-year-old Michael D. Nicholas of Gilbertsville, charging him with assault 1st degree - domestic violence. He was taken to Marshall County Detention Center.
The victim was taken by Marshall County EMS to Marshall County Hospital for treatment.
