A man in Murray is under arrest after trying to run from police.

According to the Murray Police Department, on April 11th at around 4:20 pm officers received a call from a residence on South 12th Street regarding a domestic disturbance.

The caller stated that the man had fled from the residence heading towards South 10th Street. Witnesses around South 10th Street stated they saw the man, later identified as Kory Roach, run to the ditches around the hospital.

While searching the area Roach was apparently spotted in a tree line near a bridge on South 6th Street. After being spotted, Roach again ran off ignoring commands to stop by police officers. After taking Roach into custody officers allegedly found a small bag of methamphetamine on him. Roach was charged with 2nd Degree Fleeing (Class A Misdemeanor) and 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class D Felony).
