Man Charged After Police Find Counterfeit Money

A Hopkinsville man was charged after police reportedly found counterfeit money on him Sunday night.

According to WKDZ, Hopkinsville Police say 57-year-old Robert Moorefield, Jr. was arrested on Mill Terrace Court on two warrants for failure to appear on second-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment charges.

Police say he was allegedly found to have five counterfeit $20 bills in his possession. 

Moorefield is charged with failure to appear and first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
