A Calloway County man was arrested Tuesday on multiple charges after a possible stolen vehicle was reported.

The Calloway County Sheriff's Department heard about a possible stolen vehicle leaving Jeffrey Cemetary and headed toward Dexter. A deputy spotted the vehicle on Roosevelt Road and pulled it over for speeding. When he checked the VIN number, the deputy confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen.

The driver gave a false name but was later identified as 36-year-old Kacy Segrist of Dexter. He was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000, giving an officer a false name, speeding, driving on a suspended license, no registration, no proof of insurance, possession of an open alcohol container, and failure to wear a seat belt.

The Sheriff's Department says Segrist's arrest also led to the recovery of another stolen vehicle. The investigation continues.
