TN Man Charged in Fulton with Drug Trafficking

FULTON - A traffic stop in Fulton resulted in the arrest of a Union City man on drug trafficking charges.

KYTN reports that Fulton Police stopped a vehicle on Lake Street for driving without headlights.
 
The driver, 27-year-old Eldarrius Boykin, spoke with police, and they reported the smell of marijuana coming from inside the car.

When Boykin was asked to exit the vehicle, police allegedly saw a container of marijuana, along with digital scales, in the back seat.

They say the container had three bags of marijuana, with a total weight of 87.4 grams.

Boykin reportedly admitted that the marijuana and scales were his. He was taken into custody on trafficking charges, and also failure to illuminate vehicle head lamps.
