Man Charged with Rape of Minor in Fulton County

A Fulton County man was arrested Friday on rape and sodomy charges.

The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office says deputies served an arrest warrant Friday on 47-year-old David Garrett of Hickman for three counts of 1st degree rape and sodomy. The warrant says Garrett committed the acts against a minor between the years of 2015 and 2016.

Garrett was arrested and taken to the Fulton County Detention Center where he is being held on a $50,000.00 cash bond. He was previously arrested April 5 on an arrest warrant for Sex Offender Instant Messenger / Chat / Social Network Use. 

Garrett is a lifetime registered sexual offender that transferred from Illinois for the original conviction for sexual battery out of the state of Indiana.
