A pursuit ensued, reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour. The pursuit continued into Tennessee where deputies said they lost sight of the car near Union City. Union City police and Obion County sheriff's deputies tried to locate the car but were unsuccessful.
An officer at the check point recognized the driver and police made contact with him but he refused to turn himself in. A warrant will be issued for speeding, fleeing or evading police, and multiple counts of wanton endangerment.
Deputies said they would release the suspect's name once he's in custody.
