WINGO, KY -
A Northwest Tennessee man is in the hospital after a wreck in Graves County Saturday afternoon.
At about 1:43 PM on September 22, Kentucky State Police responded to a call about a single car collision with fire and entrapment. The driver, Marilyn Feezor (23 years old), of Mayfield and passenger, Tony Walker (23 years old), of Palmersville, TN, were freed from the car by three passer-bys who stopped to check on them.
Both Feezor and Walker were transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center by the Mayfield/Graves County Ambulance. Feezor was treated and released. Walker was admitted for injuries he sustained during the collision.
According to Kentucky State Police, Feezor was driving a 2008 Pontiac G6 on KY 129, when the passenger side tires dropped off of the road. Feezor then over-corrected, causing the car to spin and leave the left side of the road. The car then hit a tree on the passenger side, coming to stop on the tree and catching on fire. The car and everything inside was destroyed by the fire.
The Wingo Fire Department and Graves County Sheriff's Department assisted the Kentucky State Police on the scene. The collision is being investigated by Trooper Jody Cash.
