Man Hurt in Crash at Mayfield Intersection

A man went to the hospital Wednesday evening after a crash in Mayfield.

The Mayfield Police Department says officers responded at around 4:30 p.m. to a crash at the intersection of West Broadway and North 8th Street. According to the report, 30-year-old Catherine Dowdy was driving south on North 8th Street when she ran a red light and hit another vehicle driven by 61-year-old Kenneth Crooks as he traveled through the intersection. Crooks' vehicle then spun around, colliding with a light support.

Crooks was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
