A Graves County man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident Friday afternoon.

The Calloway County Sheriff's Department got several 911 calls about an injury accident on Kentucky Highway 121 North near Peach Orchard Road. Deputies found 66-year-old Clarence Britt of Farmington pinned in the vehicle. Deputies say it hit a concrete culvert and an embankment and overturned, coming to rest in an upright position.

Due to severe damage to the vehicle, Britt had to be extricated by Calloway County Fire and Rescue, before he was taken to Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Britt was then flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center by Life Flight for treatment of critical injuries.
