FULTON, KY - A Fulton man has been extradited back home from Memphis to face charges of attempted murder of a police officer.
Kentucky State Police brought 56-year-old Keith E. Dildine to the Fulton County Detention Center on Friday. He was involved in an incident on July 7, when Fulton Police and South Fulton Police responded to the Royal Ridge Apartments after someone heard shots fired.
Police reports say when officers arrived, Dildine came out of the apartment and allegedly fired shots at both officers. They returned fire and hit him several times. He was taken to Regional Medical Center in Fulton, and then airlifted to MED Hospital in Memphis. He was released into the custody of Memphis Police earlier this week.
Dildine faces two counts of attempted murder of a police officer. No bond information was available.
