Marion Man Arrested on Drug, DUI Charges

A traffic stop in Benton on Friday led to the arrest of a Marion man on DUI and drug charges.

Fifty-four year old Christopher Manley of Marion was stopped by police while traveling North on Poplar Street in Benton. After speaking with Manley, the officer conducted field sobriety tests on him, and Manley was subsequently placed under arrest. Officers then searched the vehicle and reportedly found drugs, drug paraphernalia, and six firearms in the vehicle.

Manley was charged with DUI first offense, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and failure of owner to maintain required insurance first offense.
