Marshall County Rescue Fundraiser Underway

BENTON, KY - The Marshall County Rescue Squad is holding their 2013 Spring Fundraiser through April 27, by telephone ONLY. Funding secured from this will be used to equip their new Rope Rescue Technician Team, and update their Water Rescue Team Equipment.

Anyone who makes a donation will receive two tickets for a pair of prizes to be given away during our open house April 27, from 3 pm to 5 pm. The drawing to be held at 5:00 pm, and you must be present to win and be at least 18 years old. Prizes included in the giveaway are an X-Box 360 (4GB), and a large Flat Screen TV. Prizes are provided by the fundraiser coordinator.

Also, during their fundraiser, there will be various items on display, for a silent auction. It also will end April 27th at 5:00 pm. To view items for bid, stop by 201 Ash Street in Benton, Ky., from 9am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday. Additional items will be added throughout the fundraiser.

As a reminder, if anyone comes to your door seeking donations, do NOT donate. Instead, try to obtain a vehicle plate number, or the person's name, and contact Chief Curtner. They will prosecute anyone defrauding our supporters.
