Marshall County Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest
By West Kentucky Star Staff
MARSHALL COUNTY - A traffic stop Monday in Marshall County led to the drug arrest of the driver.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office says a deputy responded on Monday to a report of a suspicious vehicle at a home. The deputy located the vehicle, and pulled it over for having a brake and license plate light out.

Deputies said the driver, 20-year-old John Smith of Benton, was found in possession of methamphetamine. Smith was arrested and charged with rear license not illuminated, no brake lights, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
