Marshall Man Charged with Cultivating Marijuana

BENTON, KY - A Marshall County man has been arrested for cultivating marijuana.
The Governor’s Marijuana Strike Force was conducting operations Monday in Marshall County. Troopers observed 49-year-old Ronald G. Ledbetter, of Benton, attempting to remove marijuana plants from a plot.
Troopers recovered 49 marijuana plants with a street value of $49,000. Ledbetter was arrested and charged with marijuana cultivation five or more plants, tampering with physical evidence and possession of marijuana. Ledbetter was lodged in the Marshall County Jail.
Post 1 Troopers and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Governor’s Marijuana Strike Force. The investigation continues by Post 1 Troopers.
