A crash on I-69 in Graves County Thursday sent one person to the hospital.

The accident happened around 4:30 pm at the 28 mile marker. The Graves County Sheriff's Office says Brandon Hood, of Gilbertsville, was northbound on I-69 when his pickup truck hydroplaned on the wet roadway.

Deputies say the truck left the roadway, went through a grassy area and overturned three to four times. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels inside the Mayfield-Graves County Airport's perimeter fence.

Hood reportedly received a injury to his head and was transported by ambulance to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
