PADUCAH, KY - Senior Judge Thomas B. Russell on Monday sentenced a Marshall County to 190 months in prison and ten years of supervised release after he pleaded guilty earlier this year to child pornography charges.

US Attorney David Hale says 44-year-old James Todd Hill issued the plea in February of this year following his arrest in 2011.

According to the plea agreement, Hill acknowledged accessing the images by using the internet on his home computer on two occasions, June 9, 2009 and December 10, 2010.

Then, on March 21, 2011, Hill is said to have distributed images of child pornography via the internet. Later, on March 30, 2011, Hill received images via the internet.
 
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child exploitation.

The case was prosecuted by Asst. US Attorney David Sparks.
