Mayfield Collision Leaves Two Injured

MAYFIELD - A two-vehicle collision in Mayfield on Wednesday left two people injured.

Officers with the Mayfield Police Department were called to Construction Drive after receiving a report of a collision involving injuries.

Authorities say their investigation determined that a juvenile was traveling eastbound along Construction Drive, while 47-year-old Sidney Guidry was traveling westbound on the same road. The vehicles then struck each other head-on.

Guidry and a passenger were taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The juvenile and two juvenile passengers declined an ambulance once their parents arrived.
