Mayfield HS Band Advances to State Semi-finals

The Mayfield High School Marching Band is taking its next step in state competition this weekend. The band competed at Regional Class A West competition at Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville on Oct 25, and had to place in the top eight to qualify for semi-finals. They placed second overall and received a distinguished rating (score of 80 or above). 

The Cardinal band will compete in State semi-finals at Bryant Station High School in Georgetown on Saturday at 1:45 p.m. Sixteen Class A bands from East and West regions will compete for the top four positions to advance to the finals that Saturday night at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond.
